EN ICHOS TAKO || 223 MPSU students recognized with various distinctions

A total of 223 graduating students of Mountain Province State University (MPSU) were recognized for their academic excellence during the En Ichos Tako 2026 celebration themed, “Brewing Excellence: Cultivating Highland Heritage, Roasting Potentials, and Savoring Global Success,” held today, May 25, 2026, at the Eyeb Grounds, Bontoc, Mountain Province.

University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue introduced the guest of honor and speaker, Mr. Arnel M. Kisofen, an alumnus of MPSU and currently an Assistant Professor IV of the university. His inspiring journey in education and public service served as a motivation to the graduating students.

In his keynote message, Mr. Kisofen encouraged the graduates to never give up on their dreams, work diligently, embrace challenges, and believe in themselves. He also reminded them to carry the values instilled by MPSU and to share their success not only with themselves, but also with their families, communities, and the wider world.

Moreover, Mr. Kisofen emphasized, “Let ICHOS: I – Integrity, C – Cultivate, H – Humility, O – Overcome, and S – Service, be more than an acronym. Let it be your daily practice, your guiding principle, and lifelong recipe for excellence. Carry it with you as you enter the wider world, so that your success is not only celebrated today, but remembered for generations.”

The En Ichos Tako is an annual recognition program honoring graduating students for their outstanding performance in academics, leadership, service, and other fields of excellence. The awardees were joined by proud parents, guardians, relatives, and friends who celebrated their achievements and dedication throughout their academic journey. University officials, faculty members, and staff also joined the program.
