
27 May 2026 – A total of 539 graduates received their diplomas during the 55th Commencement Exercises of the second batch of the MPSU-Bontoc Campus, held at the Eyeb Grounds in Bontoc, Mountain Province. The ceremony carried the theme, “Brewing Excellence: Cultivating Highland Heritage, Roasting Potentials, and Savoring Global Success.”
Once again, MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue proudly introduced Honorable Amenah F. Pangandaman, 12th Secretary of the Department of Budget and Management, as the guest of honor and speaker. Secretary Pangandaman’s remarkable accomplishments and exemplary leadership served as an inspiration to the graduating class as they embark on a new chapter of their lives. Dr. Cue also highlighted the Secretary’s significant contributions not only in budget and administrative governance, but also in advancing community engagement initiatives and public service beyond government reform.
In her message, Secretary Pangandaman shared that the University carries a deeper identity rooted in “the spirit of the highlands, the strength of its peoples, and the aroma of coffee that tells stories of culture, hard work, patience, and pride.” She also lauded the exemplary students for their academic excellence and meaningful impact on their communities.
The graduating class consists of the following:
• 315 graduates from the College of Healthcare Education under the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program;
• 164 graduates from the College of Accountancy, Business Management, and Information Technology:
– 26 Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
– 39 Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Major in Financial Management
– 13 Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Major in Marketing Management
– 55 Bachelor of Science in Information Technology
– 31 Bachelor of Science in Office Administration
• 60 graduates from the College of International Hospitality and Sustainable Tourism Management:
– 27 Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management
– 33 Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management
University officials, community members, parents, guardians, families, and friends attended the program. Also present during the celebration were Hon. Serafin L. Ngohayon, OIC-CHED Regional Director; CSC-CAR Regional Director Fernando O. Mendoza; and Director Anita Verina T. Paredes.
