
Tadian, Mountain Province – Mountain Province State University (MPSU) Tadian Campus held its 34th Commencement Exercises for 195 graduates under the theme, “Brewing Excellence: Cultivating Highland Heritage, Roasting Potentials, and Savoring Global Success,” today, May 29, 2026, at the IPED Building of the Tadian Campus.
The ceremony featured Hon. Mel Senen S. Sarmiento of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace, Reconciliation and Unity (OPAPRU) as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, introduced by MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue. Secretary Sarmiento was represented by Ms. Jessica C. Banganan-Assong, PDO V of the OPAPRU-Baguio Field Office.
The graduating class is composed of 50 graduates from the College of Agriculture and Forestry, including 6 graduates from the Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness Management, 1 graduate from the Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship, 3 graduates from the Bachelor of Science in Agroforestry, 8 graduates from the Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, 18 graduates from the Bachelor of Science in Forestry, 7 graduates from the Bachelor in Agricultural Technology, and 7 graduates from the Diploma in Agricultural Technology.
Meanwhile, the College of Teacher Education produced 67 graduates, consisting of 8 Bachelor of Elementary Education graduates, 11 Bachelor of Secondary Education majors in English, 10 majors in Science, 3 majors in Mathematics, 10 majors in Social Studies, 5 Bachelor of Technical-Vocational Teacher Education majors in Automotive Technology, 2 majors in Garments and Fashion Designing, 2 majors in Civil and Construction Technology, 9 majors in Electrical Technology, and 7 majors in Food Servicing Management.
The College of Engineering contributed 78 graduates, including 68 Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering graduates, 5 Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering graduates, and 6 Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering graduates.
Special awards were also conferred upon outstanding graduates. The College of Engineering awarded 3 Best in On-the-Job Training and 3 Natatanging Inhenyero Mag-aaral Awards. The College of Agriculture and Forestry recognized 1 Best Intern and 1 Intercollegiate Young Farmer Champion. Further, the College of Teacher Education honored 1 Best Teaching Intern, 1 Best Teaching Intern – Best in Research, 1 Best Teaching Intern – Best in Industry Immersion, and 1 Best in Research.
Other recognitions included 8 Athletic Awardees, 10 Special Citations in Leadership, 2 MPSU Ambassadors for ReSkills, and 12 ReSkills Scholarship awardees.
University officials, faculty members, staff, parents, guardians, and friends attended the ceremony. Also present during the program was CSC-Mountain Province Field Office Director Anita Verina T. Paredes.
