June 29, 2026 – In line with the university’s ongoing commitment to quality education and holistic development, Mountain Province State University-Bontoc welcomed incoming first-year and transferee students with a Student General Orientation at the Mayaen Sports Complex.
Said orientation served as an information drive to familiarize students with the university’s Vision, Mission, Goals, and Thrusts (VMGT), introduce university officials, and highlight the offices and services that will support their academic journey.
Topics discussed include admission and registration procedures, school fees and assessment, library services, international linkages, sports and athletics, culture and the arts, gender and development, legal services, security and general services, and student affairs.
During the event, MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue welcomed the students and encouraged them to pursue their college journey with determination, consistency, and purpose. He also reminded them to learn from challenges, value the sacrifices of their families, and make the most of the opportunities that await them at MPSU.
Held at the start of each semester, the Student General Orientation aims to equip students with essential information and to inspire them to embody the university’s PRIME values Professionalism, Resilience, Inclusivity, Moral Integrity, and Excellence. Through this activity, MPSU reaffirms its commitment to a supportive, transformative educational environment for all students.
