Duagan Coffee Maker Sustainable Livelihood Program Association (SLPA) conducted an educational visit to the MPSU – Montañosa Coffee Center.

The benchmarking activity aimed to deepen the association’s knowledge of the “Seed to Cup” program and integrate Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) into their local Arabica coffee cultivation.

During the visit, the Duagan Coffee Maker SLPA delegation was warmly received by the staff of VSDRED Center.

The VSDRED team led comprehensive discussions detailing the entire coffee value chain—ranging from meticulous nursery management and sustainable farming techniques to post-harvest processing and quality preservation.

The “Seed to Cup” framework emphasizes the importance of quality control at every stage of production. By adopting GAP, the Duagan Coffee Maker SLPA aims to increase crop yields, achieve premium bean quality, and secure more resilient, climate-smart livelihoods for its member farmers.

The Montañosa Coffee Center reaffirmed their commitment to supporting local agricultural associations through continuous technical assistance and extension services, ensuring that mountain-grown Arabica coffee remains competitive in the specialty coffee market.
