MPSU Co-Organizes AGRASS 2026 and Celebrates Research Excellence with Best Paper Award for Dr. June II A. Kiblasan


𝗧𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗬𝗧𝗔𝗬 𝗖𝗜𝗧𝗬, 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 – Mountain Province State University (MPSU) showcased 14 research studies at the 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁 (𝗔𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗦𝗦) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, organized by the 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀, 𝗜𝗻𝗰. (𝗔𝗣𝗖𝗢𝗥),held at 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗮 𝗱𝗲 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘆𝘁𝗮𝘆, 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘆𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆, featuring presentations aligned with the 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝗮𝗹𝘀 (𝗦𝗗𝗚𝘀).

Among MPSU’s notable achievements was the recognition received by Dr. June II A. Kiblasan, whose study, “Culturally Mediated Mental Health Stigma and Help-Seeking Behavior Among Youth in an Under-Researched Rural Area in Northern Philippines,” won the 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 under 𝗦𝗗𝗚 𝟯: 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗯𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴. The recognition marks an encouraging milestone as he recently assumed the role of Director for Research, Development, and Publication.

MPSU presentations included medication safety by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗚𝗲𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮 𝗣. 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗮𝘆; maternal and newborn care by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝘆𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗟𝗠. 𝗟𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝘄𝗲𝗱; organizational commitment by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗟𝘂𝘇𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗠. 𝗔𝗴𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴; ICT competence by 𝗠𝗿. 𝗔𝗹𝘃𝗶𝗻 𝗟. 𝗞𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗼; academic success by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗦. 𝗟𝗼𝗽𝗲𝘇; service quality by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗲 𝗟𝘆𝗻𝗻𝗲 𝗖. 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗱; indigenous food knowledge by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗞𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻 𝗕. 𝗖𝘂𝗲; resilience by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝘆𝗮𝗽 𝗧𝗮𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴-𝗨𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗺; gender roles and acceptance of technological changes by 𝗠𝘀. 𝗔𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗠. 𝗣𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗼; governance and indigenous governance and community extension by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝗼𝘆 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗠. 𝗡𝗴𝗼𝗱𝗰𝗵𝗼, and health equity by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝗜𝗜 𝗔. 𝗞𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗮𝘀𝗮𝗻, demonstrating MPSU’s commitment to research excellence and sustainable development.
