● Participants: The contest is open only to currently enrolled, bona fide students of Mountain Province State University (MPSU).

● Team Size: Each group must have exactly 5 to 6 members.

● Limitation: A student can only join one team.

Teams must choose only one topic. The video must show realistic, practical solutions that fit the daily life and environment of Mountain Province.

β¦ΏTopic 1: Proper Nutrition on a Student Budget

● Local Resources: Focus on healthy meals made from affordable, locally grown products (such as sayote, cabbage, camote tops, and local beans) found in municipal markets.

● Living Conditions: Show how to prepare healthy food using basic cooking tools common in local boarding houses, like a single-burner stove or an electric kettle.

● Budgeting: Give practical tips on how students can stretch their money by buying directly from local farmers or on market days.

β¦ΏTopic 2: Disaster Readiness in Schools and Boarding Houses

● Highland Risks: Focus on hazards common to the mountainous terrain, including typhoons, landslides, earthquakes, flash floods, and road closures.

● Boarding House Safety: Address the risks of living away from home, especially in student housing built on sloped areas.

● Actionable Steps: Show how to make a budget-friendly emergency “Go Bag,” list local emergency contact numbers, and explain what to do if cell phone signals cut out during a storm.

Videos that fail to meet these specific technical rules will face point deductions or disqualification.

● Minimum Length: 3 minutes and 0 seconds (3:00)

● Maximum Length: 5 minutes and 0 seconds (5:00)

● Note: This total time includes all introductory titles, logos, and closing credits.

β¦ΏOrientation: Strictly Landscape (horizontal, 16:9 aspect ratio). Vertical formats are not allowed.

β¦ΏFormat & Quality: High Definition (1080p) saved as an .MP4 file.

β¦ΏAudio: Speech and voiceovers must be clear and easy to understand. Background music must not drown out the voices. Use royalty-free music to avoid copyright issues.

To officially enter the contest, teams must complete a two-step process by July 23, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Late entries will not be accepted.

β¦Ώ Online Posting: Upload the video to Facebook. Set the post privacy to Public. The caption must include the Video Title, Chosen Topic, and the full names of the team members.

β¦Ώ Office Submission: Submit the entry to the Events Management Office (EMO) through their submission portal or office. Teams must turn in:

● The original high-definition video file (.MP4 format).

● The direct web link (URL) to the public Facebook post.

● An official list of the 5 to 6 members with their student ID numbers.
