The outgoing officers of the Supreme Student Council (SSC) of Mountain Province State University (MPSU) Bontoc Campus,led by Student Regent Hon. Hill Coleman C. Awichen and accompanied by their adviser, Ms. Jennifer Damayan, paid a courtesy visit to the Office of the University President yesterday, July 10, 2026, where they were warmly welcomed by University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue.
During the visit, the outgoing SSC officers presented the accomplishments of their administration, reporting that 57 of their 58 projects have been successfully completed, while one project remains ongoing. The presentation reflected the council’s commitment to fulfilling its plans and initiatives before the end of its term.
The 58th project, the Provision of Hard Hats for Students, was among the initiatives highlighted during the visit. Once completed, the project aims to provide hard hats in every classroom to enhance students’ safety and preparedness during emergencies and other calamities.
The visit also formed part of the council’s preparations for the upcoming Supreme Student Council elections, which will usher in a new set of student leaders to continue serving the MPSU community.
On behalf of Mountain Province State University, President Cue expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing SSC officers and their volunteers for their dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment to serving their fellow students and the university. He commended the council for translating their plans into meaningful programs and projects that have positively contributed to student welfare and campus life.
Said visit concluded with words of encouragement from President Cue, who wished the outgoing officers success in their future endeavors and expressed confidence that the incoming student leaders would continue the legacy of committed and transformative student leadership at MPSU.
