Under the leadership of University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, MPSU Bauko (VSDRED Center) successfully conducted the Competency Assessment for Bamboo Production NC II at the MPSU VSDRED Center.
The assessment was participated in by 10 industry worker-candidates, who demonstrated their knowledge, skills, and competencies in bamboo production based on the Philippine National Competency Standards. The activity was conducted by Competency Assessor Ma’am Marisa P. Galid and was overseen by TESDA Representative Sir Geoffrey F. Ana-ao, Jr., ensuring that the assessment was carried out in accordance with TESDA’s quality assurance standards.
Also present during the assessment was Vice-President for Administration and Finance, Sir Reynaldo P. Gayo Jr., whose presence underscored the University’s strong support for quality Technical-Vocational Education and Skills Development (TVET) programs and competency assessment services.
Through this initiative, MPSU Bauko (VSDRED Center) continues to strengthen the bamboo industry by providing industry workers with opportunities to earn National Certification (NC II), validating their competencies and enhancing their employability, productivity, and professional growth.
