Mountain Province State University (MPSU)-Paracelis conducted its Welcome Program and General Student Orientation for newly enrolled and continuing students yesterday, July 9, 2026, at the Conference Hall, providing participants with information on academic programs, student services, university policies, and campus support systems.
Tadian Campus Administrator Dr. Brent Greg E. Gomuad formally welcomed the participants and opened the program, followed by the introduction of university officials and the presentation of the University’s Vision, Mission, Goals, and Thrusts.
The orientation also featured the introduction of faculty members from the College of Agriculture and Forestry (CAF) and the College of Criminal Justice Education (CCJE), allowing students to become acquainted with their respective academic units.
Various university departments and offices likewise presented their programs and services, including registration and retention, accounting, information and communications technology, scholarships and grants, student services and development, guidance and counseling, library services, health services, the National Service Training Program (NSTP), sports and recreation, and performing arts.
Representatives from the Paracelis Municipal Police Station and Barangay Bacarri also discussed peace and order and community concerns. PCPT Jun P. Ngawit, Chief of Police, was represented by PEMS Dolores C. Gao-an, while Barangay Captain Hon. Thomas G. Simangon was represented by Barangay Administrator Mr. Jose G. Simangon. Their presentations encouraged students to become responsible members of both the university and the community.
The program concluded with an open forum, the oath-taking of the Paracelis Campus Student Organization officers, and the closing remarks delivered by Student Services and Development Coordinator Asher H. Lug-ao.
The annual orientation forms part of MPSU’s continuing efforts to equip students with the knowledge, resources, and support services necessary for a productive and successful Academic Year 2026–2027.
