MPSU holds Barista NC II training; Prexy Cue addresses participants

The Mountain Province State University (MPSU) held the Barista NC II Training for Batch 1 on July 27, at the HM Hall, MPSU, Bontoc, MP.

The event was graced by University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, who inspired the participants to embrace lifelong learning and make the most of the opportunity to develop competencies that can lead to employment, entrepreneurship, and personal growth.

“This training is not just about mastering the art of coffee-making. It is about proving that every new skill you learn adds value to who you are. Invest in yourself today, and tomorrow you will be ready to serve not only great coffee, but greater opportunities.”, he said.

Representing Congressman Hon. Maximo Y. Dalog Jr., Mr. Dionisio Wacdisen conveyed the Congressman’s message of encouragement and reaffirmed his continued support for initiatives that promote technical skills development and livelihood opportunities in Mountain Province.

Also present was Ms. Whitney Keri Fokleg, representative from TESDA-Mountain Province, who facilitated the orientation and discussion on the Barista NC II program, providing participants with an overview of its competency standards, assessment process, and industry expectations.

Said training reflects MPSU’s continuing efforts to strengthen workforce readiness through industry-aligned training and strategic partnerships, empowering learners with practical skills that contribute to employment, entrepreneurship, and sustainable community development.
