MPSU strengthens ties with BJMP

Mountain Province State University (MPSU), through the College of Criminal Justice Education and Liberal Arts (CCJELA), conducted a seminar-workshop on Effective Investigative Writing and Records Management for Correctional Frontliners at the Mountain Province District Jail, Bontoc, today, July 28.

‎Representing University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, Atty. Dexter C. Lingbanan, Vice President for Internationalization, Planning and Information Management, delivered the president’s message, highlighting the importance of integrity, accuracy, and accountability in documentation for justice and public service.

“In life, we often discover that the smallest details create the greatest impact. A carefully chosen word can prevent misunderstanding. A complete and accurate report can uphold due process and support fair decisions. A properly maintained record can preserve the truth long after memories have faded. Just as a strong building depends on a solid foundation, a credible justice system depends on the dedication and integrity of those who faithfully document the facts,” Dr. Cue said.

Moreover, JCINSP Sir John S. Melecio expressed his gratitude to MPSU for initiating the training, recognizing its importance in enhancing the knowledge and competencies of correctional frontliners in the performance of their duties.

Also present were CCJELA Dean Dr. Edgar B. Mapangdol, faculty members, and staff who showed support for the university’s extension initiative and commitment to professional capacity-building among partner institutions.

Said activity reflects MPSU’s continuing efforts to share its expertise and strengthen its linkages with partner institutions by providing programs that help improve the knowledge, skills, and capabilities of public servants.
