MPSU, COA begins Audit Year 2026; meet for entrance conference

In line with its commitment to accountability and good governance, Mountain Province State University (MPSU) through the leadership of University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue welcomed Audit Team of the Commission on Audit for the Entrance Conference at the University Board Room, MPSU, Bontoc, MP, today, July 29.

In his message, Dr. Cue emphasized that the audit process is an opportunity to strengthen the University’s governance and institutional performance in terms of audit and accounting processes and standards.

He emphasized that said activity serves not merely a compliance exercise but a tool to improve policies, systems, operations, and ensure efficient management of public funds.

‎”We recognize that an audit is not simply an assessment of compliance, but an opportunity for institutional growth and continuous improvement. The observations and recommendations presented by the Commission on Audit will serve as important inputs as we enhance our governance practices and ensure that the resources entrusted to MPSU are managed with the highest standards of accountability, transparency, and efficiency,” he said.

Dr. Cue also expressed the university’s appreciation to the COA Audit Team for its professionalism, expertise, and valuable guidance throughout the audit process.
