QUALITY ASSURANCE PERSPECTIVE|| Key officials review COPC applications; discuss August 2026 accreditation preparations


Administration Conference Hall— University officials convened today, 31, July 2026, to review the progress of the Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) applications for three programs and discussed preparations for the upcoming August 2026 accreditation survey visit of two programs at MPSU-Tadian.

Director for Institutional Quality Assurance Unit Ms. Collins F. Lidua, presented the status of the COPC applications for the Master of Arts in Nursing, Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Bachelor in Physical Education and shared the initial updates provided by the Commission on Higher Education regarding the applications. The body then identified the remaining requirements that need to be addressed by the concerned programs. On the other hand, necessary additional requirements for the 3rd year & 4th year level for Bachelor of Science in Criminology (for MPSU-Tadian and MPSU-Paracelis) needed for the Regional Quality Assurance Team evaluation were deliberated.

In addition, updates on the ongoing preparations for the August 2026 accreditation of the Bachelor of Science in Forestry and Bachelor of Science in Entrepreneurship were also presented by Mr. Neil Christian G. Comafay, IQA-Coordinator for MPSU-Tadian.

The University continues to await the official communication containing the recommendations from CHED on the COPC applications.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Geraldine L. Madjaco, VP for Academic Affairs; Atty. Dexter C. Lingbanan, VP for Internationalization, Planning and Information Management; college deans and program chairpersons of the concerned programs; Ms. Gemma A. Ngelangel, Director for Planning; Dr. Fely A. Akilith, Director for Libraries; Mr. Joseph M. Brillantes, Director for Health Services; Mr. Alken D. Casilen, IQA Coordinator for MPSU-Paracelis; and IQA and DC C personnel.
