BONTOC, MOUNTAIN PROVINCE — Educators from Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia shared perspectives on higher education, internationalization, and cross-cultural learning during the International Lecture and Dialogue held on September 15, 2026, at the MPSU Auditorium.

The activity formed part of the Academic and Cultural Exchange Program: Cultures in Conversation, Knowledge in Action, which brings together international delegates and members of the MPSU community for academic exchange, cultural immersion, and collaborative activities.

Esteemed resource speakers included Dr. Aleksei Nekhaev, the Director for Language Center and General Education Lecturer of Shinawatra University in Thailand, who discussed International Quality Assurance in Higher Education: Maintaining Academic Excellence. Meanwhile, Program Secretary and Lecturer Dr. Tran Phuong Hai from the Finance and Banking Program of HUTECH University, Vietnam, tackled Internationalization as a Pathway to Excellence. Moreover, Business Director Prof. Freya Uyen of WorldBridge Academy in Vietnam, spoke on Education without Borders: Learning Across Cultures.

In his message, MPSU President Dr. Edgar G. Cue emphasized the importance of meaningful engagement, connection, and continuous learning in building stronger international relationships and a globally connected academic community.

Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Geraldine L. Madjaco also encouraged students to broaden their perspectives through meaningful conversations, deeper insights, and lasting connections as they engage with people and ideas from different academic and cultural backgrounds.

The dialogue provided MPSU students and faculty members with opportunities to interact with international educators, exchange perspectives, and gain insights from experiences beyond their respective academic and cultural settings.

Certificates and tokens of appreciation were awarded to the international guests and resource speakers following the sessions.

The event was attended by Linkages and International Affairs Director Dr. Karen B. Cue, university officials, faculty members, international guests, and exchange student delegates, whose participation contributed to the University’s continuing internationalization efforts.

Through the Academic and Cultural Exchange Program and WE-BREW 2026, MPSU continues to strengthen international linkages and create opportunities for academic collaboration, knowledge exchange, and intercultural understanding.
