
Admin Conference Hall— In its continuous efforts for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) survey, the Institutional Sustainability Assessment (ISA) and State Universities and Colleges Levelling, the University conducted a workshop dubbed, “Streamlining Excellence: A Process Documentation Workshop for Higher Education Sector,” today, 06 August 2025.
Said event further aims to provide the campus directors, school deans and program chairpersons, of the theoretical understanding and practical competencies essential for effectively documenting institutional processes.
Viewing the event as a “pursuit for excellence” and “aligned with the University’s commitment to good governance, transparency and public accountability,” University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue represented by Bontoc campus Director Dr. Arel B. Sia-ed, reiterated the fulfillment of the mandates of the Anti-Red Tape Act and the Citizens’ Charter through clear, well-documented and standardized procedures.
Meanwhile, in her opening remarks, IQA Director Ms. Collins F. Lidua, noted that having well-documented processes in higher education isn’t just helpful but strategic. “Clear documentation helps ensure that our system run efficiently, our teams stay aligned, and our institutional knowledge is preserved and continuously improved,” she added.
During the event, GAD Director Ms. Michelle C. Doss presented and explained the GAD policies to be incorporated in office processes, which was followed by the overview and orientation on the documentation processes by ISO and Document Control Custodian Ms. Carolyne Dale Castaneda-Iguid.
A workshop on process documentation followed afterwards. These were presented and critiqued.#
