DSWD Aid Reaches Students Stranded by Typhoon Uwan


𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗨𝗦 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘|| 1,020 boxes of relief supplies were distributed to the students of MPSU-Bontoc, who are residents of Kalinga, Sadanga, Barlig, Paracelis and Ifugao, today, 18 November 2025. These students are unable to return home during the academic break due to road closures caused by Super Typhoon Uwan.

Said relief were from the Department of Social Welfare and Development and were distributed with the collaborative efforts of the University and the provincial DSWD-Social Welfare and Development Office.

As of today, only students who pre-registered have received their relief supplies. Those who registered on-site will be accommodated in the next distribution batch.

Similarly, coordination with the affected students at MPSU-Tadian is ongoing to facilitate the distribution of their food packs.

University officials including University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, represented by VP for Administration and Finance Mr. Reynaldo P. Gayo, Jr., VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Geraldine Madjaco, SSDO Dean Ms. Jennifer Ruth C. Tuazon and Student Regent Mr. Hill Coleman Awichen extended their gratitude to the DSWD for the said assistance and delivered messages of support to the students.
