Led by their Course Professor and College of Advanced Education Dean, Dr. Francisco C. Armas, the academic delegation explored the intricate layers of community structures, local programs, and grassroots initiatives that shape Barangay Talubinโ€™s unique socio-cultural landscape.

The field engagement wasnโ€™t just a learning opportunityโ€”it was a strategic move to align academic pursuits with real-world challenges. Itโ€™s a blueprint for inclusive, community-driven progress. Through engagements with local leaders, participatory mapping, and on-the-ground observation, student contingents gained firsthand insights into the dynamics of rural governance, cultural preservation, and sustainable development.

These insights will serve as a cornerstone for MPSUโ€™s future community-driven initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to inclusive and responsive education. The university envisions that the outputs of this visit will not only foster strong linkages with Talubin but also generate impactful outcomes that can be benchmarked for future academic research and extension programs.

โ€œThis is more than fieldworkโ€”itโ€™s a partnership in progress,โ€ shared Dr. Francisco C. Armas, Dean of the College of Advanced Education. โ€œWeโ€™re planting seeds of collaboration that will grow into meaningful change.โ€ He added, โ€œThis visit bridges theory and practice. Itโ€™s about listening, learning, and co-creating solutions with the community.โ€

At the end of the day, the MSRD class leaves Talubin not just with data, but with stories, relationships, and a renewed sense of purpose, a renewed commitment to rural empowerment.
