
MPSU-Bauko — The University formally opened its Coffee Museum and Entrepreneurship Training Center, today 23 December 2025, a first in Mountain Province. Said initiative was funded by the Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Agricultural Research and is located at Ba-ang, Banao, Bauko, Mountain Province.
The Coffee Museum features coffee products, brewing implements, multimedia materials and other coffee equipment.
Meanwhile, the Entrepreneurship Training Center features coffee processing equipment and facilities. As MPSU-Ba-ang is Level II TESDA-Accredited in Coffee Nursery and Coffee Production, said center is expected to provide seminars and trainings on coffee nursery and coffee production to its stakeholders.
University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, VP for Innovation, Research, Development, Publication and Extension Dr. Epiphania B. Magwilang and VP for Administration and Finance Mr. Reynaldo P. Gayo, Jr. welcomed and delivered messages of gratitude to all stakeholders for the successful launching of the event.
Guests were able to tour the center and coffee museum after the opening. Said opening also featured a seed to cup experience, enabling the guests to have hands-on experiences on the coffee-making processes.
The Universityโs Socio-Cultural Arts Group rendered cultural dance presentations, adding color and beat to the event.
Said opening was attended by dignitaries and visitors from various agencies including Board of Regents member Atty. Cyphrine Maxcel Dalog-Duclan and family, Gov. Bonifacio C. Lacwasan, Jr., represented by Mr. Rolando Bragado, Department of Trade and Industry Provincial Director Ms. Mabel F. Banggawan, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Bauko Municipal Mayor Hon. Randolph Awisan represented by Ms. Gladys Bacwaden, Western Red Berry Pickers Association, Sagada Arabica Coffee and Processors Organization Inc., PIA-Mountain Province, PIO-Mountain Province, Supervising Officer COA-CAR Ms. Nikki Awilan, VP for Internationalization, Planning and Information Management Atty. Dexter C. Lingbanan, VP for Academic Affairs Dr. Geraldine L. Madjaco, Student Regent Mr. Hill Coleman Awichen, other MPSU officials, personnel and students.
