Guinzadan Sur, Bauko, MP— The University, through its College of Teacher Education-Bontoc and Information and Communication Technology Unit, conducted a three-day campus journalism mentoring and workshop for journalists and teachers of Guinzadan Elementary School.

The three-day event provided the necessary skills and knowledge to campus journalists and teachers in writing news, editorials, features, opinions, sports, science and health, headlines, and copyreading, as well as the basics of campus journalism management, page layout and design, and photojournalism.

This initiative is part of MPSU’s extension services, which serve as a crucial mechanism for providing educational support and skills development to communities beyond the university. Extension services play a key role in bridging academic resources with community needs.

The resource speakers and facilitators of the event include Dr. Christie Lynne C. Codod, Dr. Jonnelle Fagsao, Dr. Joseph Brent Bangao, Ms. Joan dR. Canisi, Ms. Delia Sumeg-ang, Ms. Leticia Pel-ey, Ms. Christine D. Olayen, Ms. Olivia L. Yangat, Dr. Julie Grace M. Docallas, and Ms. Mirasol F. Sumerbang.
