The Mountain Province State University (MPSU), through its trained Kita Mo Na trainers, hosted a Training of Trainers (TOT) program today, June 17, at the MPSU Coffee Center, VSDRDE Campus in Baang, Bauko, Mountain Province.
The activity, titled “Kita Mo Na: Building Financially Resilient Cooperative,” was attended by the officers and staff of Saint Paul’s Multipurpose Cooperative. The program focused on strengthening financial literacy, resilience, and cooperative leadership, equipping participants with the knowledge and skills to guide their members toward sustainable financial practices.
The Kita Mo Na module, which served as the foundation of the training, was developed by the Department of Agriculture–Agricultural Credit Policy Council (DA-ACPC), BDO Foundation, and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). The module was designed to empower farmers and fisherfolk by enhancing their financial resilience and helping grassroots communities better prepare for economic challenges.
As part of the program’s immediate application, the newly trained officers and staff of Saint Paul’s Multipurpose Cooperative will conduct their own training sessions on June 18, 2026, for their cooperative members. This immediate rollout aims to strengthen financial resilience among cooperative members.
The collaboration between DA-ACPC and MPSU demonstrates a unified effort to build financially resilient cooperatives through community-based initiatives. The program aims to equip farmers and cooperative members in Mountain Province with the knowledge and skills needed to adapt to a changing economic landscape.
