The seminar covered key topics including environmental protection and laws, forest conservation and development, water, sanitation, and conservation, and the role of youth in environmental management.
In her opening remarks, Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Geraldine L. Madjaco, represented by NSTP faculty member Ms. Christine E. Dumangeng, acknowledged the challenges facing the environment. โThe environmental challenges we face today are daunting, but as NSTP students, you stand at the forefront of change,โ she emphasized.
University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, represented by SSDO Dean Ms. Jennifer Ruth C. Tuazon, described the event as a โplatform for students to become environmental advocatesโ and an โopportunity and the obligation to make a difference.”
โAfter all, the future of our ecosystem relies on an understanding of our shared responsibility in protecting and preserving our sanctuary,โ he added.
The same seminar will cater to the second batch of NSTP students tomorrow, 07 September 2025.
