The University, through its Gender and Development Unit, conducted a gender-responsive work approach through an activity, dubbed Empowering Administrative Personnel Through Gender-Responsive Completed Staff Work, today, 12 March 2026.

Dr. Rexton F. Chakas, a professor from the College of Criminal Justice Education and Liberal Arts, served as the resource speaker.

This activity was conducted to equip administrative personnel with the skills and knowledge to incorporate gender responsiveness in their completed staff work, promoting an inclusive and equitable workplace. By fostering awareness and understanding of gender issues, the University aims to empower its administrative staff to contribute more effectively to decision-making processes and enhance overall organizational efficiency

In relation to this, University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, represented by MPSU-Bontoc Administrator Dr. Arel B. Sia-ed, in his message highlighted the importance of empowering University administrative personnel by improving their competencies through gender-responsive completed staff work and promoting clarity, accountability, and inclusivity in decision-making. He also underscored the crucial role staff members play in supporting the institutionโ€™s mission by creating an efficient, equitable, and compassionate work environment.

Said initiative is vital in creating a work environment where gender sensitivity is integrated into daily operations, ultimately supporting the institutionโ€™s commitment to gender equality and development.
