Tadian, Mountain Province – The Mountain Province State University and Tadian Multipurpose Cooperative (TMPC) recently collaborated on a two-day food processing training held at the TMPC Hall, Tadian, Mountain Province.
The training, led by experienced professionals Mr. Rolando Tawanna Jr., Ms. Candida G. Ambatcan, and Dr. Joyce D. Cuyangoan, focused on essential food processing techniques such as meat and vegetable processing (longanisa with vegetables), snacks (dumplings) and easy to make desserts (coffee jelly and coffee ice cream).
The said activity drew participants from Tadian and nearby communities, including business owners, aspiring entrepreneurs, and students taking up Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness, BS Entrepreneurship, and BTVTED-Food Technology. Participants were given the opportunity to apply and assess their newfound knowledge through return demonstrations.
This initiative aligns with global goals of reducing unemployment through sustainable income and ensuring decent work for all, benefiting both aspiring entrepreneurs and existing businesses in the local community.
