
The first batch of students from the National Training Service Program-Civic Welfare Training Service took part in an education campaign on drug education, national security concerns, and peace education today, 23 November 2024 at the University Auditorium. The resource speakers Mountain Province Police Provincial Office.
Said education campaign, which was an integral part of NSTP-CWTS’ curriculum, aimed at recognizing the importance of youth as responsible citizens in shaping the future of our nation. By providing the participants with the knowledge and skills related to drug education, national security, and peace education, this seminar empowered them to be informed, responsible, and active citizens who can contribute to a more peaceful and secure society.
In his message, University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue challenged the students to start practicing leadership in advocating for a drug-free lifestyle to create a culture of health, peace, and security, not only in their communities, but that can resonate throughout the country and the world. “I believe that you have the power to be the agent of change we wish to see for your fellow youth, your younger brothers and sisters, the community, and our entire nation,” he added.
The same activity will be held tomorrow, 24 November 2024 for the second batch of the NSTP-CWTS students.
