The Project Implementation and Management Unit (PIMU), which notably includes researchers from the Mountain Province State Polytechnic college, successfully held a two-day training workshop to develop a tool for stakeholder consultation on September 25-26, 2024, at the Sagada Cave Pension Haus & Restaurant in Balugan, Sagada. The main goal of this workshop was to create a survey tool that captures the socio-economic status of farmers and commodity operators in Mountain Province. This tool is important because the data gathered, which includes income levels, resource access, education, and household size, will offer valuable insights into the current situation, challenges, and specific needs of the local agricultural sector.
By collecting this accurate and relevant information, PIMU can tailor the Mountain Province Climate Field School Project to meet the most urgent challenges faced by stakeholders. This focused data collection helps the project identify vulnerable populations and enhance its overall impact by delivering benefits to those who need them the most.
