Coffee & Lemon, JBA Building, Samoki, MP— The Universityโs College of Accountancy, Business Education and Information Technology held the first-ever pinning, candle-lighting, and commitment ceremonies for the Batch Lumina of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Marketing and Financial Management) today, 18 December 2025.
Said send-off ceremonies marked a significant transition from academic study to professional practice, symbolizing their readiness, commitment to integrity/service, and the “light” of knowledge they’ll carry into the business world, acting as a rite of passage before internships and then ultimately to full-fledged careers.
Atty. Lanban Kyle Kollin Likigan, a BSBA Batch 2015 alumnus, served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. In his inspiring message, Atty. Likigan challenged the students to embrace fearlessness, boldness, and audacity while remaining grounded and aware of their place.
He encouraged them to be confident risk-takers, likening this to being a โgood gamblerโ who does not doubt oneself or fear uncertain outcomes, emphasizing that regret cannot alter the past. Additionally, he urged the students to maintain a strong hunger for learning but to also establish clear personal boundaries.
Furthermore, University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue also encouraged the students to wear their pins as a reminder of MPSUโs core values and to embrace their internships as opportunities for growth. He emphasized that these experiences will help shape them into competent, compassionate, and committed professionals ready to serve their communities.
Faculty members and a representative from the studentsโ parents also delivered their messages of guidance and support to the OJT students.
