University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue graced the Community Duty Orientation of the College of Healthcare Education, held at the Multi-Purpose hall this January 14, 2026.

The event gathered students, faculty, and staff in a shared moment of reflection and purpose as they embark on community-based healthcare initiatives.

In his keynote message, Dr. Cue delivered a stirring call to action, reminding attendees of deeper mission that underpins their academic journey.

โ€œCommunity duty means recognizing that every lesson you learn, every skill you master, and every value you uphold must ultimately serve the people around you,โ€ said Dr. Cue.

He also added, โ€œIt means stepping beyond the walls of classroom and hospitals to engage with neighborhoods.โ€

He emphasizes that healthcare is more than a profession- it is a calling to serve.

In his closing the University President left the students with a message of hope and challenge,

โ€œLet your generation of healthcare professionals who prove, through action and empathy that every life matters.โ€ Dr. Cue concluded.

Said event marked a meaningful start to the studentโ€™s community duty journey, reinforcing MPSUโ€™s vision of producing globally competitive, socially responsible, and service-driven professionals.
