Bontoc, Mountain Province – Trainers from the University participated in the three-day Training of Trainers (TOT) on the Kita Mo Na financial literacy module conducted by the Department of Agriculture- Agricultural Credit Policy Council (DA-ACPC) on February 4-6, 2026, at the Coffee and Lemon Café in Samoki, Bontoc, Mountain Province.
The highlight of the program was the demo teaching simulation, where personnel from the University served as trainers-in-training. Students from the College of Accountancy, Business Management, and Information Technology participated as learners, providing a realistic training environment that allowed trainers to practice delivering lessons on budgeting, savings, responsible borrowing, and cooperative values.
The simulation emphasized interactive and culturally relevant teaching methods, enabling trainers to refine their facilitation skills while receiving constructive feedback from ACPC facilitators and peers. This hands-on approach strengthened the confidence of MPSU personnel and prepared them to cascade financial literacy education to schools, cooperatives, and community groups across the province.
Through this initiative, ACPC reaffirmed its commitment to empowering communities by building local capacity for financial literacy and promoting values-driven leadership in Mountain Province.
