
TADIAN, Mountain Province — In a proactive effort to enhance household safety and technical literacy, the University’s College of Engineering spearheaded a comprehensive seminar-workshop titled “Lighting the Way to Safer Homes: Electrical Safety Seminar-Workshop and On-Site Technical Support”.
The event brought together engineering experts, local government officials, and community members to address critical aspects of domestic electrical management.
The morning sessions featured technical experts from MOPRECO, Inc., Engr. Warren Ongan and Mr. William Toyoken, who discussed “Load Management & Billing Transparency,” followed by a vital session on “Fire Prevention & Hazard Identification” led by Fire Officer Fredy Abibico of the Bureau of Fire Protection.
In the afternoon, the focus shifted to “Mandatory Protection Devices,” presented by Engr. Gremble D. Degay of the MPSU Engineering Faculty. The workshop aimed not only to educate but also to provide practical, on-site technical support to residents, ensuring that the theoretical knowledge shared translates into safer living environments for the people of Tadian.
