
Mandaue City, Cebu – April 13, 2026 — MPSU President Edgar G. Cue inspired educators as he graced the 2nd National Seminar-Workshop on Reflective Teaching and Learning, held at Big Hotel, Mandaue City. The event carried the theme, “Cultivating Learners for the Future: Reflective Instructional Strategies Guided by Education’s Legal Pillars.”
The event gathered participants from various institutions for a full day of meaningful learning, collaboration, and professional reflection. The seminar highlighted the importance of innovative, learner-centered, and reflective teaching approaches aligned with global and national education frameworks.
The sessions covered 3 modules:
1) The Major Philippine Educational Laws, Policies and Standards that Guide Reflective Instructional Strategies and Classroom Practices
2) Best Practices In Teaching and the Reflective 21st Century Skills that promote Critical Thinking, Collaboration and Future Ready Skills Among Learners
3) The Reflective Strategies Among Learner Centered Instruction that respond to real world challenges and Diverse Learner‘ Needs
This initiative, coordinated by the Center for Professional Development (CPD) of Mountain Province State University, reaffirmed the university’s commitment to empowering educators and fostering excellence in teaching and learning.
The seminar-workshop featured distinguished speakers Atty. Catherine Damole and Dr. Ethel Reyes-Chua, as well as MPSU officials: Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Geraldine L. Madjaco and Bontoc Campus Administrator Dr. Arel B. Sia-ed, who provided valuable insights on reflective teaching practices.
The event served as a meaningful platform for educators to reassess their instructional approaches, align with global quality assurance frameworks, and reaffirm their commitment to excellence in education.
