
MPSU-Bontoc— The Universityβs Bontoc campus held a pre-employment seminar yesterday, 13 April 2026, for the graduating students from the College of Criminal Justice Education and Liberal Arts (CCJELA). The seminar aimed to equip graduating students with practical skills and knowledge for their upcoming job search.
The morning session featured discussions on key topics such as Gender and Development in the Workplace, presented by Ms. Michelle Doss. It also provided a comprehensive overview of career paths in various law enforcement fields, as well as the recruitment process and qualifications, delivered by Jail Inspector Adriano Saong alongside JO1 Brix Chomapoy, PSSG Edison Mariano, and PSSG Carille Suclap.
In the afternoon, graduates attended lectures focused on career readiness, including crafting effective application letters, resumes, and portfolios by Dr. Mark Preston S. Lopez. Communication techniques for job interviews were covered by Dr. Johnny P. Cayabas, while Dr. Claire Kaplaan P. Lafadchan discussed professional telephone etiquette. The session concluded with a legal briefing on cybercrime laws by Atty. Dublin O. Facullo.
University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue, represented by SSDO Dean Ms. Jennifer Ruth C. Tuazon, reminded the graduating students that academic success is fueled by intellectual ability (IQ), but career growth depends largely on emotional intelligence (EQ). He encouraged them to view their diplomas as milestones and to continue striving for greater achievements for themselves and their communities. Dr. Cue urged them to move forward with courage, humility, and determination.
This seminar marks the start of a series of pre-employment programs set to be conducted across all colleges at MPSU-Bontoc, aiming to strengthen the readiness and competitiveness of its graduating students in the job market.
