University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue graced the Training and Induction Program for the Diploma in Hospitality Technology (DHT) Batch 1 today, April 22, 2026, at HM Hall, MPSU, Bontoc, MP.
In his message, Dr. Cue emphasized that the program is more than an academic beginning—it is the start of a transformation. He reminded the students that hospitality is not only about technical skills but also about passion, discipline, and a deep commitment to continuous learning.
“Hospitality is a profession centered on people. It is about creating meaningful experiences, paying attention to details, and making others feel valued,” said Dr. Cue.
Quoting management thinker Peter Drucker, Dr. Cue highlighted the importance of lifelong learning:
“We now accept the fact that learning is a lifelong process of keeping abreast of change.”
He also encouraged students to see challenges not as setbacks but as stepping stones and reminded them that success is not measured by speed but by persistence.
“Some journeys take longer than others, and that is perfectly fine. What matters is your willingness to keep going,” he added.
Dr. Cue concluded his message with a call to action:
“Learn with purpose, work with integrity, and dream with determination. Never stop improving yourself, because your growth will define your success. Remember, your journey begins today, and your future is yours to create.”
Said program marked a significant milestone for MPSU’s hospitality education, setting the tone for a future where students are not only equipped with skills but also inspired to embrace lifelong learning and resilience.
The event was attended by partners from TESDA, led by Provincial Director Felixberto Matute Jr., represented by Ms. Geneveve L. Chilem.
