Thus, said by University President Dr. Edgar G. Cue in the Gender-Responsive Community Theater Workshop for Cultural Heritage and Environmental Advocacy held today, May 2, at the Admin Conference Hall, MPSU, Bontoc.
In his message, Dr. Cue emphasized the importance of authenticity and collaboration in building confidence among participants.
โAs you build confidence today, hold on to this truth: confidence is powerful, but it must be grounded. It is not about being the loudest voice in the roomโit is about being the most genuine. Real confidence listens, learns, and makes space for others to shine. Because in a truly powerful performance, no one stands above the restโeveryone rises together.โ, he said.
Serving as the resource speaker was Mr. Roger Federico, a community theater practitioner who teaches in the Department of Speech Communication and Theater Arts (DSCTA) at UP Diliman and currently serves as the Managing Director of Dulaang Unibersidad ng Pilipinas, the official production arm of DSCTA.
Said workshop provided a dynamic space where participants could explore real-life issues, challenge perspectives, and co-create meaningful narratives that reflect the diverse voices within the community.
